This book is such a chore to get through omfg. It had not picked up at all. I’m only finishing out of principle because I used Audible to help power through it. I have about the same understanding of the world as I did when I started this stupid book.

This world is so vast it’s honestly insane to me that more people haven’t picked up these books

I started this book a while ago but put it down same day because the prologue bored me ☠️ picked it back up and once you get past that part, it has nothing to do with the rest of the book and I am pleasantly surprised and entertained lol

Chat, im ngl, im so confused as to the nature of Cyrus and Alizeh’s relationship. It’s more than just hot and cold, I’m not sure I understand how I’m supposed to feel about him. Everything is weirdly cryptic to a point I’m worried if I even understand what is going on. If it doesn’t get more clear by the end of this book, I’m very worried for the rest of the series.

There are so many things happening that I don’t even know where to look. Bitches that are supposed to be dead ain’t dead no more, moons are about to fall, I think my suspicious about the rebel cause are about to come to a head

Not gonna lie, this kinda feels like cheating because I can hear all of the voices in my head. This is honestly just me watching episodes I haven’t seen, I don’t think my brain can tell the difference lol

We just love bad ideas. Bad ideas and war. Our favorite things. Meanwhile Veya, Kyzari, and Grimm just out on survivor-esque side quests.

I’m literally terrified of a love triangle forming rn. She cannot be that attractive. She’s great, don’t get me wrong but if I have 1 more male love interest swap trope in a book, I’m gonna be pissed

People who whine about this book aren’t paying attention because I’m enraptured. If you hate lore, just say that. I’m invested in the groundwork that’s being laid out and I’m far more interested than I thought I would be

The angst is killing me im on the edge of my seat. Out of all people the traitor sabotaging the alliance being Haxaya? Completely threw me for a loop. It does show a lot of humanity for Liraz though and I’m interested to see how she changes throughout this book. I feel like I’ve read a lot but also like we’re still just getting started

Now that’s what I call a strong start for a strong female character. Little bit of world building that you gotta chew on first but otherwise I’m in this for the long haul 🫡

Okay, we’re starting to get answers…whether or not I understand or care about those answers remains to be seen, please stand by

I’m breezing through this book with a strange feeling that something deviant is going on. This book better truly be standalone because I’m halfway through and we’ve only “won” 2 matches and killed 2 nobles… chat we got 5 more to go, we gotta pick up the pace

I have a feeling that this whole thing is gonna make me mad, but it’s so damn good I don’t really care. We’re at war, we’re freeing slaves, we’re having really weird and not reciprocated tension with the wolf guy who’s a creep and had us executed in our past life (him to her not the other way around thank god). I’m honestly devastated that Loramendi fell, I care so much about all of them.

You know a book is good when you’ve read it, kinda remember it, and it can still shock you and make you feel things. I’m fully entrenched yall.

I remember this book in bits and pieces, ngl, holds up and has been thoroughly diverting. Currently borrowing this from Libby but it’s probably coming home with me.

I knew these books had different covers. I also knew I wasn’t crazy when everyone thought I was talking about Shadow and Bone when I knew I wasn’t. Don’t piss me off.
