So currently not really loving it. It’s a little too frictionless which is probably apart of the appeal, but to me it just comes off as a veneer of something real. It’s hopecore taken too far.

MY BOYYYYY!!! This whole book I never quite knew where it was going or how it would end. So much carnage, so many people gone. And yet so hopeful in its protagonist’s outlook, even with that wild ending. Literally changing my brain chemistry.

About 20% of the way through and damn has this already got me tearing up. Very very happy with this one so far.
