Reading has been hard the last few months, so I was happy to drop back into this wonderful book today.

I am finding this a challenging read, and I am not completely sure why that is. The lack of quotation marks is part of it. I'm just not sure I like it, but will carry on reading for a bit more to see if it doesn't draw me in.

I love these characters as if they were my own and I can't wait to read the rest of the story.

An interesting take on religious mythology and the modern world.

It took me longer than usual to read this, and I will confess that I struggled a bit with keeping the cast straight, at least in the first 2/3rds of the book.

Ultimately, I loved the characters, even if i sometimes had trouble keeping them straight in my head. The magical system was intriguing, without being over explained. It isn't often you get a book with so many different kinds of necromancy.

Excellent story that kept me glued in to find the ending...even though I didn't want it to end!

A most excellent second book. I can't wait for the third to arrive!
