It's been so long since my first Shadowhunter book. I almost forgot how gently and easily Cassandra Clare slides you into a new world.

I really should know better. I tell myself going in, these books can't keep being amazing. But they really can. There are feelings happening.

Not me taking literally any android book and comparing it to AstroBoy....

4000 characters, wildly different belief systems, magic that works differently depending on where you live, and thank the gods for the different narrators or this would be a complete farce. It's an amazing story, but I forgot how complex this world is!

My brain is not in the right headspace for this right now. Will try again later. Hopefully before my loan expires and I have to wait again....

Anyone else reading Dark series by Christine Feehan? I feel like these books swing between really good, really infuriating, and really mind numbing?

Oh this book! I'm living for how everything is twisting around. I've got LoTR vibes, people off doing different things, no idea what's going on with the others, big stuff happening, new information coming to light. I have vague ideas how I want it to end, but I don't know how it will.

Ok, was I supposed to know prior to this who the assassin was and who the prince was? Because I was wrong. My bad.

So much going on. Nahri trying to do what's best with only half the information. Ali trying to do what's best, sure he's going to die for it. Dara trying to do what's right based on what he's told to do. This is going to be a nightmare

This grabbed me right away! Already in love with these characters.

Wow, this girl knows nothing about any kind of fae or witch. Don't give them your name, don't interact at all, for the love of the gods, if they're trapped, leave them that way!!

This is absolute gold so far. How have I gone so long only reading one Marie Lu book??

Reading outside my comfort zone for a reading challenge. I loved the world of Dematr, another Jack Campbell series, so let's see how I like his take on sci-fi

This woman writes magic. I get a little twitchy over books more than 400pgs sometimes, but anything she writes, I'll sit down and blow through 100pgs without even realizing it. Loving this story so much!

If this doesn't come down to Kyle and the translator, I'm gonna be mad. Early days, but the heart wants what the heart wants. And I feel like the GBF has been introduced already!
