Bill Haddad is on page 58 of 304 of The Premonition: A Pandemic Story
First impression is, the central character is on the autism spectrum, ahead of me, but there are others, equally interesting.

Over a thousand pages! Galbraith is going the way of Harry Potter. This was a complicated case, more difficult to follow because it was often told through game chat conversations, often two or three simultaneous ones, but the narration of Strike and Robin's activities and thoughts were worth the slog.

Not gonna finish this. An action sci Fi with too many errors of physics and technology, even though it's made up, and too much emphasis on the little pseudo-military details of the almost constant fighting.

Maybe this will come out okay, but to have the terrorist be aggrieved by the betrayal of the Kurds, though it's clear he may be way more pathological and just using them as an excuse, is an insult to the Kurds. Yes, Trump betrayed them big time, but he wasn't the first westerner to do it, and meanwhile the Kurds are the Ukrainians of the Middle East. They wouldn't do this.

Really enjoying how for once, constantly talking about characters' feelings is not just gratuitous woman-splaining, but in fact is a vital part of the story.

"Do you love him?"
"Yes"
"More than..."
That's often the question, but what hardly anybody realizes, even Christians, who should know better, is that love, like sin, is a binary concept with God. You do or you don't. Matters of degree are illusory.

This series started out as what I called "Western Noir" mysteries with a dark and troubled investigator but with this third book, is morphing into a political thriller. Barbara Nickless is a fantastic story-teller!
