Great! Especially pairing this with my monthly reading of 2nd Corinthians I believe will be very helpful!

Great! Chapter 3 is a warning against our pride and Ch.4 is a brilliant reminder of what I am not and what I am in Christ.

What’s my motivation for the things that I do? Is it prideful in its root?

Great read so far. Valuing the importance of margins. “The space between our load and our limits. Planning for margin means planing for the unplanable”

Thinking about what is possible for us as finite creatures and scheduling less than that

Some compelling and challenging information but also a bit discouraging concerning some of the opinions give by Dunlop, however I am giving it a try with an openish mind!

Right doctrine counts for nothing if it does not sink into our hearts and find expression in our lives. We want a knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness. Tit 1:1
The Christian faith unites theory in practice theology is only theoretical & so far as it points us towards God as the chief end of all our knowing and delighting, but we also insist that this beholding should result in us becoming more like Christ

“The streaming wounds of Jesus are the sure guarantees for answered prayer” (pg.60)

This means however not that God literally gives us everything we ask for but rather He gives us what is best for us. “ we can only pray without an F when we are quite sure that our will must be God’s will because God’s will is fully our will.

“I know of no better thermometer to your spiritual temperature than this, the measure of the intensity of your prayer” (page 79)

No the quantity but the reality of it. Prayer is best measured in weight rather than length and breadth.
