reread w klep bc i need to read a real book for once

a great irony that everyone who dropped this book for being slow/passive will not get to read amelia say “i am a coward and cowards do not change lives” and let it sink in on a wednesday morning. like this is actually causing me great emotional distress and most people wont even experience it as if proving her point. oh amelia my daughter

this audiobook narrator goes so crazy omg im out here tearing up on my morning commute…

that was so freaking goooooood omg. i love this book

and as expected…….. i actually am liking this so far 😁 “it’s too slow” “nothing happens” “retellings are boring” TO YOU. IDC!!!!!! i 🩷 books that take their time

stupid johnny. killing him

me and who

IM GONNA THROW UP THESE TWO MAKE ME SICKKKKKKKK WHAT THE HELL BROTHER

jamies crashout is so funny hes just like me fr

round two but im locking in and trying to understand everything this time. like this is a scholarly deep dive

i forgot how sick they make me omfg. charlottejamie brainworm is back w full force

need more books with inner monologue that is also rly good setup bc the payoff is sooooo satisfying

trying so hard not to consume this too quickly but im just obsessed i fear

this is not indicative of any feelings towards the story itself or regard for king’s writing but i miss when tradpub allowed this kind of narration that put a lot of weight on internal monologue especially with characters who are kinda horrible. nowadays it’s all action action action and your protagonist must be like your reader

need to know why people have been glazing this for almost 50 years

5 pages in. there’s a bisexual colored batman. in a twoface story. i said oh i’m sure.

oh shit

i didn’t know if i was vibing w the writing store until i got hit w the gore descriptions. that was impressive

this is just the “localization or translation” debate that plagues modern fandom except if u wanted to be pretentious ab it (compliment)

“these were three of the happiest days of robin’s life.” oh god it hasn’t even started and it’s ab to get worse

robin kinda like me fr… oh no

(nothing has happened yet) i’m so fucking scared
