I had a friend tell me something similar and it hurt but helped me see the light a bit more, hopefully that happens for Bennet!

Okay I’m enjoying Bennet & Henry and their banter, I have laughed quite a bit these last few chapters. I do hope that Bennet continues to come out of her shell!

I feel a bit uneasy about Sky declaring his love for Meilin

As Iona would say, rules were there to be broken. Spectacularly and with panache!

Ohh poor Bea :( and I am glad to see everyone come together for Iona, but what about Emmie?? I hope she is okay!

& everyone was asking “What would Iona do?”

I’m loving how everyone is slowly coming together and showing up for each other

It seems as if the tower of bricks has fallen…

I didn’t like Iona at first but she is slowly becoming a favorite. However Candida is starting to irritate me

I was dying of laughter when I read this interaction between Iona & Piers on the train:

I: “are you married!”
P: “yes. she’s called Candida”
I: “Yikes. Like the yeast infection?”
P:”…Candida is an ancient saint’s name…from the latin for ‘pure white’”
I: “So, a racist yeast infection.”

Each character has flaws & LOTS of anxiety lol

I knew Kajii was up to something mischievous…ugh I hope Rika comes out on top!

It’s amazing to see that so many of these women finally understand the importance of taking all that energy they’ve put towards others & putting it toward themselves!

Witnessing Rika bloom has been a joy!

Rika’s eyes are starting to open and she is having some realizations about the world & those around her…but is it because of her or is she being played by Kajii??

I’m only a couple chapters in & I am already hooked! (pun intended)

I have some theories about Kajii & her cooking:
- She didn’t kill them, she just “fattened them up”
- She definitely loved at least ONE of her “victims” (I haven’t figured out which one it would be yet though)
- Rika is in for quite the rollercoaster & maybe finds love?
