Robert Rath has written some of the best BL stories of the last few years. Here, he returns to a character who he unquestionably made his own in a pivotal moment for the setting. This story didn’t need to be written but I’m so very glad that it was.

Gary Kloster continues to impress with this, his first straight 40K story that I’ve read. The Buried Beast leans heavily into the archetype of Dark Angels as knights as we see the newly-resurrected Lazarus wrestle his internal daemons as well as confront the titular beast.
