Just read some of the reviews saying people are comparing this to fourth wing apparently?
Perhaps the only thing that’s in common is bonding with dragons and a young adult protagonist. I’m getting more eragon and Game of thrones (at least for one of the big plot points, GoT came to mind) ish influence. So far a fun read and I’m sucked in. :)

On to the mountains of madness, which is one I wanted to read. Dunwich horror was a pretty good story. Enjoyable to read.

I didn’t actually read all the stories in the middle, I’m just skipping to the ones I want to read. 🤣

It’s okay so far. Reading it in short spurts because I bring it to work. Might pause and read something else though tbh.

Forgive me. This is the only book I had handy to read at work.

Read another short story, “The quest of Iranon”. It’s meh. Disagree with the notes about the ending of the story though.

I’m having a very enjoyable time reading this! So far it’s very engaging and I actually do wasn’t to know more about the world!

It feels nice to actually put effort into understanding the sentences on a page. In the first paragraph of the first story I had to search definitions of different words three times. xD

Only four chapters later and we have a grand total of 8 different narrators for 9 chapters total. This book is frankly boring me and I don’t know if I care enough about it to finish it.

Oh my god I’m only 5 chapters in and they have been told by 4 different characters.
Chapter 6 is told by yet another character.
The longest chapter has been 5 back to back pages. And whenever something interesting happens, the chapter ends and switches POV. Don’t know how to feel about this one so far.

At least the dragons showed up for a bit.
Everyone’s eyebrows are at a trampoline park with how much they are rising and jumping.
Xaden just was standing there. Menacingly. And started to walk. Apparently that is a source of tension?? I’m not seeing it right now.
The book is still …okay.

I have a tenuous grasp of what is going on right now. I hope the dragons show up soon :(

Giving this author another chance. Hope this one is better than the last.

I am very eh about this book as of now. It’s not horrible, but not the best thing I’ve read. The main characters I guess have chemistry but they keep flip flopping their feelings and it’s not endearing. It’s just frustratingly annoying at this point.

The formatting of the pages with the large margins sure was a choice. Book is promising so far though.

It’s okay so far. Not bad. Not amazing either.
The language is confusing me xD it’s like a combination of Russian and German or something.
