So many books in my library need re-shelving. I'll be making changes gradually. The books in my currently-reading and close-reading shelves are very much being read, just more slowly and more carefully than usual.

Fascinating theory, lucid, and functional. I have been applying concepts like fabula and critical fabulation to my own work. Professor Bal is worth it for anyone interested in developing a critical vernacular and good sense of literary formalism.
