Can’t put it down!

Did not finish

I did not finish this book. It never captured my imagination like some of her other works. It was just ho hum- ain’t nobody got time for that!

Not quite as engaging as Clan of the Cave Bear, but I'm enjoying it so far.

This was a dry but interesting account of the events surrounding the shipwreck of the Grosvenor. It read like a long newspaper article instead of more like a novel, which I would have preferred.

You can tell this was written by a news reporter- it is a meticulous account of the circumstances surrounding the murder of Jeff Macdonalds family and his subsequent trial. I my opinion, the level of detail causes the story to drag on excruciatingly slowly and become unnecessarily long. It could have been half the length. I give up. I did not finish and I'm not going to.

Couldn't keep up with all the characters- I've put it down for now

I just finished Riders of the Purple Sage and gave it 4 stars.
