Fantastic fun time! Lots of creative world building. Immersive, really enjoyed Lazlo’s perspective. Immediately needed to start the sequel.

Reading this book feels like witnessing a dream. The way Virginia uses words paints a picture. Each line is surprising as it is useful. Admittedly there are small sections my eyes kind of glaze over because of the use of certain phrases or conveyances of ideas that seem outdated. But that is far outweighed by the lavish storytelling, humour, surprises, and intense emotions within each page.
