I am preaching my summer sermon series on the Parables of Jesus. Thus I am reading and studying this book weekly. I enjoy John McArthur’s take on Jesus’s teaching and find the book highly helpful for preparing my sermons.

I think the book is also written in a way that even the lay person would benefit from working their way through it.

I’m using this commentary for the development of lessons for a class I am teaching on Acts. Thus it will be a while before I completely finish the commentary. But let me just say that this NIV Application commentary gives good insights for use by both the Pastor and the student. I highly recommend the book to both.

So far the first 20% of the book is introduction, it gives a good broad overview of the Biblical book of Genesis.
