Weird book. Meandering in a way that has no right to be interesting but still is.

Unimpressed with part 3 so far.

I have a theory that the first two books were written because the author wanted to, and written more or less how she wanted to. The later ones are bewildering in comparison in their boring recounting of events and the advocacy of womanly virtues. As if they were written by the request of a publishing house, as easily publicly acceptable uplifting moral stories that pay the bills. I should probably read a biography.

I am currently simply too tired to read much else. But I cannot NOT read, either.

I've obviously read this before, many times, but never the complete series in the original language.

Rather bored now but I suppose I'll finish it.
