"Can't you see YOU ARE ME!" Reading this book because I discovered the musical on Spotify. Surprised the POV character isn't Jekyll.

Oof. Ash is an awfully unlikable character. If this book was longer I would DNF...also I hope Cal dies.

This book is disturbing and sad....but not for the reasons I was expecting. Very interesting book.

Awesome book so far. I haven't read all of John Saul's books yet so there may be some cameos from other books of his I'm missing. I DID like the nod to Punish the Sinner with monsieur Vernon. I hope he comes back. That guy is out of his mind...

Suffer the Children is my favorite John Saul novel. Maybe my favorite book ever. I read THIS book because I thought I read that Elizabeth Conger is mentioned in passing...not that she's actually IN the first story! I'm so excited!!

Almost DNF'd at 61% because it felt very VERY repetitive and I couldn't identify any stakes...and I didn't care about the characters...but I pushed through and it got a lot better. A couple twists and a couple turns. It's not the best book I've read, not the worst either. Looking forward to see how it ends.

So far this has been good. But the last hundred pages or so have felt stifled? A lot is happening and it's interesting, but I don't see what the big picture is. I am having trouble caring about what the characters are going through. There are a couple of questions that are keeping me reading, but overall I liked the first book a lot more. But I still have a ways to go so we'll see.

Based on the reviews of this book I was expecting a slow burn. But so far this book is fantastic and fast paced Awesome characters, mysteries abound, a very fun read. But still a lot of book left. I hope it stays this fun.

Started out strong, but it's been seriously dragging for a couple of chapters. The story is barely even moving forward at this point. Also this version of Jessica Jones feels like a watered down version of the Netflix character. BUT this book has a lot of good reviews so I hope it picks up soon...

Took a while for the plot to get going. And some times it feels like reading a text book with all of the information dumps. But it's mostly interesting. Now the plot finally seems to be moving somewhere...
