Book. Is. So. Good.

Okay, this book frikkin rocks. I'm not sure I've ever been so captivated by so few pages. "Dark and lyrical" barely scratches the surface.

This book is already hitting me. No, it's not perfect, and there are some things I am questioning, but overall the story is incredibly engaging and I'm loving the characters.

Finding the tale difficult to get into. I am intrigued by the set up, however there are a plethora of names, titles, concepts, intrigues, politics... At times it feels like a hodgepodge without direction, a literal mashup of East and West tropes.

Hoping all these bones Samantha Shannon is building get some flesh, otherwise I can foresee this weighty tome falling flat.

I am still hopeful, though! Onward.

Actually really enjoying this so far! The prose is good, a sprinkling of suspense is there, quietly looming. A deep, inner conflict within certain characters will come to light I'm sure. Not sure about the spattering of omniscience that comes out every now and then, but I'll live with it >.<

Not hating it as much as I thought I would (thanks to all the reviews I've read). Been enjoying both Mat's and Perrin's arcs so far. However the next chapter is Elayne... so maybe this is where it starts getting tricky.

What the WHAT is this Prologue of 87 pages?

I don't even wanna start. That's not a prologue, people. Just sayin'.

Really enjoying it so far! Great take on the trope. Good writing, well-paced.
