I’m really really trying not to DNF, but wow, Terlu is terrible, Lottie is worse, Yarrow is essentially a walking potato. The only character worth the pages they’re on is the cat.

Am I the only one annoyed by the audiobook narrator’s accent? If you want a narrator with a Russian accent (I’m guessing that’s what she’s going for), why not hire someone who actually has an Russian accent? The narrator slips every once in a while and we get her full American accent, which kicks you out of the story.

I have no idea where the story goes from here and I’m so intrigued!

If you decide to name your FMC Laia, you can’t also choose a narrator with a British accent. For the first third of this book, I thought her name was Liar.

I really don’t like the narration… it makes me dislike the FMC just because of how she speaks (not the accent, but how she says what she’s saying, it sounds so judgemental)
