Sarah is starting A New Nation of Goods: The Material Culture of Early America
WHY would you publish a beautiful art book about material culture on heavy expensive glossy paper and not go in for color photographs!?!

Isn't it ever winter in Avonlea? PEI is supposed to average 20+ inches of snow every month in the winter but it's hardly been cold at all in Anne's six years there.

I keep thinking Wyoming would be a nice place to live, and then this book reminds me that they don't see anything wrong with 12 degree weather.

Could just be a case of bad-audiobook, but so far I'm not getting why this is supposed to be so great.

Heroine is now wearing the outfit depicted on the cover...something must be about to go down.

Do I hate the romance in fantasy novels because I don't like romance or because fantasy authors can't write it?
