Tandem reading the hardcover and the audiobook; the audiobook has some great sound effects, would recommend!

I feel like I’m playing a Cthulu RPG— this book is excellently creepy. These characters are definitely rolling sanity checks.

I can just tell that this book is going to emotionally devastate me, but so far it is my favorite of the Ocean Vuong works I've consumed!

I want to believe in the same circumstance I would realize I was in a cult. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm reading this from the perspective of someone who has already realized that they were enmeshed in a cult.
