So far this book is a lot of words but nothing learned. Some inspiring quotes that John Mark Comer uses are where I am most encouraged:

The kind of work we are called to is the expenditure of energy, manual, mental or both, in the service of others which brings fulfillment to the worker, benefit to the community and glory to God. - John Stott

So far to be honest it’s not a very practical book.

I love a good mystery with romance on the side! The characters and intrigue Afshar has created have me hooked! So glad I also took the time today to read the book of Esther to immerse myself in the timeline of this story.

This book has cured my reading slump. Rich characters, deep backstory’s set up with excellence, I almost couldn’t put it down to go to bed.

this is an interesting premise but because it deals with elderly - my heart is kinda breaking.... on the upside my 30 minute commute had something for me to listen to as it took me 1h30minutes to get home in a snow storm!

so far this is interesting but more theoretical than practical.

Loving this book. I may have to pick up Rediscovering Paul (a book co-authored with E. Randolph Richard's book from 2007) for a future read.

quotes:
."....Paul's letters addressed specific situations in specific places." p. 125-126

"Paul is not eschatologically schizophrenic." pg 113

These quotes obviously require context but nonetheless I wanted to highlight them!
