I wish I would have read this 10 years ago. I would have been a better husband, dad, church member and leader at work. So many of the principles laid out here are different than the way I am naturally wired. Asking questions, seeing the real person before trying to fix someone. It probably could have been a touch shorter, but overall should be required reading for church leadership and pastors.

Sad but really informative. The narrative was compelling and I learned a ton about the city and its defenses.

This was a very entertaining book. I learned a lot about the inner workings of the Churchill admin and the blitz. Honestly the thing that stuck out the most was the flaws of the leaders of England. It just seemed that each person had major character flaws. It makes me humble and also reaffirmed that God uses flawed people to accomplish his purposes.

Easy 5 stars. I have a natural bent toward legalism and fundamentalism, This book and in particular the chapter on the word (revelation) was very helpful and very convicting.
