This has been super predictable since the start, especially the first death, but I don’t dislike it. The dragon-rider bond is kind of like in Eragon. If the dragons there were assholes.

The clean-up scene is probably going to be my least favourite scene in the entire book. Luc's friend group is nowhere near as charming as we're supposed to think they are. Plain obnoxious.

The sections where we're left just with Luc's thoughts drag, but I enjoy their texting.
