I am reading this book for a book challenge that is going to end soon. If it wasn’t for that, I would put this book down. Not because it’s bad, but because a character did such a horribly selfish thing that I’m beyond appalled. I’m usually pretty good at accepting that you occasionally need selfish characters in books, but I can’t help but feel in my bones they need to be punched.

“Could I have been blinded by Gina’s warm personality?” Yes, bitch! And it’s been so obvious that I’m beyond annoyed that you just now figured it out.

Aww there was a reference to the main character of the Hat Shop mysteries! I’m glad I read the first book in they series prior because the reference made me chuckle.

“You’ve inhabited the role of a good man for so long, I think you may be grieving into it. We become our choices, eventually”

I’m going to be so mad if it turns out this woman is a fraud because it’s so obvious!
