Beth
Beth is starting The Great Brain (Great Brain, #1)
I had forgotten some details of this book before I read it with my daughter. There is a story in which someone dies of malnutrition and a story that focuses on corporal punishment in schools.

Beth is starting Blowout
Listening to this on Audible. My 5 year olds are surprisingly engaged by it.

Beth is 50% done with Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men
This book is good, but it’s the kind of thing where you read a couple of chapters and then you need a long break because otherwise your rage will bubble over. It’s well written and full of solid examples to make the author’s point.

Beth is 25% done with The House with a Clock in Its Walls (Lewis Barnavelt, #1)
Reading this aloud to my daughter. It’s great, but she has decided that “Isaac Izard the evil wizard” is super fun to say and that’s getting old fast.

Beth is 60% done with The Poison Squad: One Chemist's Single-Minded Crusade for Food Safety at the Turn of the Twentieth Century
This book is good but really slow going because it turns out that I have no desire to read about toxic food additives over lunch.

Beth is starting The Glitch
Two chapters into this book, I’m not sure if I’m reading it or hate-reading it. It is totally over the top satire - the main character is mostly grating but there are flashes of comic brilliance. Not sure if I will be able to finish this one.

Beth is starting The Tales of Uncle Remus: The Adventures of Brer Rabbit
Reading this with Ari and Gabe. I loved the Brer Rabbit stories as a kid, let’s see how well they hold up.
