Reading this one with Ari and Gabe

I had forgotten some details of this book before I read it with my daughter. There is a story in which someone dies of malnutrition and a story that focuses on corporal punishment in schools.

Listening to this on Audible. My 5 year olds are surprisingly engaged by it.

This book is good, but it’s the kind of thing where you read a couple of chapters and then you need a long break because otherwise your rage will bubble over. It’s well written and full of solid examples to make the author’s point.

Reading this aloud to my daughter. It’s great, but she has decided that “Isaac Izard the evil wizard” is super fun to say and that’s getting old fast.

This book is good but really slow going because it turns out that I have no desire to read about toxic food additives over lunch.

Two chapters into this book, I’m not sure if I’m reading it or hate-reading it. It is totally over the top satire - the main character is mostly grating but there are flashes of comic brilliance. Not sure if I will be able to finish this one.
