Scary stuff happening in space is my favorite horror genre, but maybe not the best to read at 2am. It's giving Dead Space vibes so far

the two concurrent storylines surrounding Kern's world and the survival of humanity and how the author leverages the passage is so cool. And the questions raised by the scenario and the exploration of it through the character(s) of Portia is also fascinating.

the first couple chapters of the book really hooked me with establishing the concept and having engaging prose by sci -fi novel standards. Definitely interested in seeing how this plays out. I am enjoying the audiobook narrator as well

tempted to DNF, i keep getting lost trying to follow the plot and the characters aren't that interesting. But the story isn't that complicated to where I can't piece together the jist of what's happening, it's just there's a lot of names and places and scenes switch very suddenly. I feel like it'd be a better experience reading a physical copy as opposed to an audiobook.

Ernie sucks, Tully is much more sympathetic

it makes sense but also doesn't and it has it's own illogical logic to it that is very fun

The first chapter was really cool, now I'm invested
