The timeline doesn't work. You can't leave at dusk, take your boat & go interview a guy, sit & watch him from afar for 40 minutes, get stabbed by a drill, "miles and miles from anywhere" make it to an ER, get treated and released (with just painkillers, no antibiotics even though the drill bit was buried far enough in your shoulder that it has to be removed at the ER) and then make it to a church revival by 10.
