i’m in this with an open mind but i am already going to dock points because the phrase “hazel orbs” was legitimately used to describe the main characters eyes

currently 5% of the way through the audiobook that the author narrates and lemme tell you, hearing “all flourishing is mutual” in her sweet voice at 11am on a random Thursday in the context of pecan trees was kind of like the whole universe had exploded before me and i then had to pick up the phone and talk to someone about berkshire county records

i hope lyra ends this book as she was but better in HDM book 1 because lord i am tired

i JUST realised this is, in fact, *not* the first book in the His Dark Materials series 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ I’m doing really well 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ slaps tho having a great time
