3.5 rounded up. It’s a pretty good read. I like the focus on books, and interesting parallel stories. The magic parts are a bit hard for me because I don’t have a very good imagination. :) overall I liked it, but did not love it

Great book detailing the struggles of young girls and women in Kibera, but what is possible when people come together to solve problems. Really good stories of resiliency.

Very thoroughly researched and detailed. A bit long. Easy to understand though, just long. And kind of a downer to listen to all of the decisions made over years that led up to women losing their rights.

The author has a really incredible story I hate not finishing it but, I could not follow. There were times she jumped around from her husband, not working at all to suddenly having a job, or all of a sudden she was in labor with a new baby. She spoken past tense and future tense and was hard to understand context. She also mentioned either voting for Trump or Buchanan during the election of Bush. Factually weird
