First time fully reading it and I don’t think I’m making any news by saying it’s a masterful work of fiction. So far it’s a bit meaty at times, but understandably considering its purpose as a world building volume — which it excels at. Not loving it as much as the hobbit but it’s still great and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series. Bless up Tolkien
