The “heartwarming story” is appalling

This seems to be the part of the book where the author realizes that Lean In is bullshit. The only thing that’s changed for women is that they’re supposed to believe things have changed.

So far, the author is a believer in Facebook 100% as a transcendent tool that unites the people of the world. It’s kind of painful.

The amount of scannos (in this case, phrases that should be hyphenated but have been joined into a single word) in this ebook is so high that I can’t continue reading until I stop and fix them all. For shame, proofreader at “PS Publishing”.

Pretty good! The workings of the psychiatric hospital are kind of forced to serve the plot, but it rings true emotionally. You definitely feel the horror and despair as Ned is stripped of everything, even his own identity, and then you get the littlest glimmer of hope as he makes a friend.

Finally started this! So far it’s engaging. I know Ashley is the bad guy, yet I can’t help but like him.

And then this happened. And then this happened. Blah blah blah.

In general I like this, but it’s a long book and too much time is taken up describing how a straight white man is falling in love with pre-Civil-Rights-era Texas.
