Not as good as her poetry, but illuminating. Still, a fun book but sad at the same.

At around 40%, now. Not sure I if I should be commended for slogging through it this far or committed to the nuthouse for wasting time when there are so many good or even halfway decent books I could be reading instead. Very frustrating.

At about the 20% mark, and I can't imagining finishing the damned thing. Not sure what's wore, the nearly six bucks I wasted or the time I'd waste if I keep reading.

I will finish this, dammit! At this point, though, I'm not finding much that compels me to keep turning the pages.

Lovin' it! Great cast of characters. Actually two bad guys now, competing with each other for top spot on the vile-and-contemable meter. I still miss Jobeth

Very different, so far, from the first two books in the series, but, I like it a lot. The new characters are interesting and engaging, but, I miss Jobeth and the gang, 'specially Izzy. Oh, and I'd like to hang Ponzi's husband by his nads. Seriously.

Still a very compelling read. Really wondering when ahe's gonna meet another person and just WTF happened. Also, what's the ancient thing that's watching/stalking her?

at the 1st combat scene. nice story; l like Ia a lot. A precog w/ other psi powers could easily become a Mary Sue character, but, so far, it doesn't feel that way.

sooo...anybody else wond'rin' why the plot synopsis is from The Case of the Orphaned Bassonist instead of Trbl n Transylvania? Anyway, this is much better than the other books I've by the same author.

About to begin Part 3. Good, interesting story. Great characters. I love Kim, totally, and like Lynn. The bad guys, you should pardon the expression, are a little too one-dimensional, painted with too broad a brush.

Fell in love with Jazz and Antonia by, like, the 2nd page! Yeah, A talks about J like she's absolute shit, but you can sense the reason is deeper than J being a punker with purple hair. In chapter 2, we glimpse some of the reason A isn't exactly Little Mary Sunshine. 'course, if she were , then I wouldn't've fallen in love with her by page 2, now would I?

I'm a bit over half way, and am seriously underwhelmed. I'll finish it, cos that's what I do, in spite of the forced humor and repetitiveness.

Will finish the damned thing if it kills me! Since last update, it's not really much better, but, at least, it's not any worse.

Okay, a little over halfway, and I feel like I deserve a gold star for perseverance. Our protag isn't very likable despite Butcher's efforts to make him endearing. He's incredibly full of himself, regularly does really stupid things when are more plot contrivance than anything else. The worst, though, is the sexism and chauvinism beneath a thin veneer of self-proclaimed chivalry, that border on misogyny. Blech!
