i wonder if my experience is affected by the popularity that precedes this book. i mean i like it but do i love it? maybe it's too soon?

i kept rereading the first chapter every month and having to drop it because of #stuff but i'm finally reading reading!

1. i really wanted to complete this before 2022 ended but apparently trying to pull the weight of your deadlines on your last leg doesn't leave time to read. or eat or drink or sleep.
2. i realised what was giving me the ick about this was the sense of finality this book imparted for the age 35 and the good/bad metric of life. but i may be premature about this judgment because they may tackle this

do you ever unintentionally spite a book right from the start for no reason at all like for why am i set on predicting everything and rolling my eyes at it, it's a simple book that's doing what it wants to do and i'm the one who picked
