just finished part one; ive gotten to know the characters and i'm already attached to them so i know it will hurt when sh*t happens.

i'm honestly thinking about leaving this on DNF. this is the book im the least interested right now cause the "romance" is really over sexualized, the tropes are boring, i don't care about the characters because i don't feel like i know them and they're kind of fatphobic too??? don't know how i even got this far, really.

i just started it yesterday evening and so far it's kept me excited for what's to come. the introduction of tori's pov, which i thought would maybe bore me, is in fact really engaging and something i keep looking forward to read so, so far so good :)

just read the first chapter; it's very promising. the art is absolutely stunning, and the dialogue is enticing. i'm excited for the next chapter already, based off of how this one ends...

i wouldnt normally update it again so soon but i just read the chapter in which celaena meets nehemia and of course i pictured them as a lesbian couple AND NOW I NEED THEM TO BE TOGETHER. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

SO GOOD!! this got me addicted so fast that i'm already mourning the time i finish the series and this is only the first book... idk why it took me so long to start this, but im glad i finally did.

so far it's descriptive of the universe it is presented in, and it's very inticing, it makes me want to read it all at once...

very descriptive and introductive of the characters' background and their dynamic. it's very dense and doesn't hint much at what's to come, thus far. hasn't been that much engaging either - which is expected since i've only read the first chapter till now, though - but it does make you wonder what kind of conflict the characters are gonna go through.

so far it's been as quirky as expected for harley quinn to be. i always love getting into her psycho/childlike mind. the chapters have been very adventurous and presented some of Ivy and Harley's dynamic - always welcome and honestly such a joy. I picked it up and haven't been able to stop, it's keeping me really engaged in it. Excited for what else is to come.
