Wow, this book is great. It's also terrifying. I'm loving it.

Because of library due dates, I've been reading this alongside Code Breaker (the non fiction book about genetic engineering), and honestly these two are interesting to line up with each other. They play off each other's concepts, pushing similar questions from different different angles that creates a wonderful synergy.
