Slow start.

Engrossed is not adequate enough of a word to describe how utterly captured I am of this story! Devouring every. single. chapter.

I need a "touch grass" kinda book to keep me sane while reading Great Big Beautiful Life by EmHen. That book is doing stuff to my heart. 🥺 I'm not strong enough (similar to how I felt reading Promise me Sunshine by Cara Bastone).

On the other hand, this book is slapping HAAARD. I am loving it. Might read other books from this newfound author.

Gotta admit I am HATING how utterly spineless this Cam “trust-fund” girl is looking right now. She is looking like a mighty pushover & step-on me character right now. Not a huge fan of that and I am half a hairsbreadth away from putting this book down for much much later or maybe just totally DNF-ing it (which rarely happens for me, plus it’s sad given the fact that this is one of my most anticipated reads.)

I may need to restart reading this because I dove into this one through the audiobook and sadly, the narration is not doing it for me. But I reaaally love the premise, so I'm gonna redo this with plain 'ol reading words on paper.
