This book is making me realize that I love dark academia about niche subject matter.

The Secret History is about classics. The characters get so sucked into Greek lit that they recreate a cult. The reader is left shocked.

This book is just a group of Econ majors. The setting is a school but they aren't actively engaging with their studies. They're not in mystical and evil cults, just normal evil frats 🤢

Ok, I'm enjoying the dragons but does this fantastical society have to have ethnic prejudice? And does our protagonist have to express those prejudices without a second thought? I was really enjoying this read but chapter 6 gave me the ick
