ARC. I don't know about it. Holding enough attention, but meh - for now.

So far, this book feels like a badly written Criminal Minds episode where the characters aren't interesting enough. I get why it's popular and controversial, but really it's just meh. Maybe I read and watch too much about actual serial killers and History to be offended. It's not my first dark romance (for most readers it was), so I am internally commenting, "interesting choice."

ARC. So far, it's good, but the advance copy has redundant word-for-word sentences; hopefully, they will be fixed/edited before publishing.

ARC. I read the first 10 percent in one go. We will see.

What is up with the new "literary fiction" and having bad writing, underdeveloped characters with no growth, pacing, or just overall blandness? Where is character growth? Where is the good pacing? The books I am told to pick up and read are not good enough and should be better. #sighs I guess I am going back to my comfort reads of mysteries and romance.
