This book is a goddamn delight, the narration, the writing the banter, the characters, the plot are just perfect. I am so glad there are a lot of books in this world because the world is so interesting too!

This has no right to be as good as it is- I am entertained.

Does this feel like nerd homework? Yes a little.
However, I am enjoying myself. I’ve never seen the movie or anything so I’m coming in totally blind.

This is just straight up fun. It keeps making me cackle with laughter, which would be fine if I was not reading late into the night. Really really loving this.

Working at Barnes and Noble again for the holidays has inspired me to read again and I gotta say- their monthly Speculative Fiction pick is a banger so far. I feel like we don't get a whole lot of after the adventure ends fantasies and I'm really enjoying everything about it. The characters are well thought out, the magic system is intriguing and thus far this is just a fun read.

Doing this as an audiobook- First audiobook I've tried. I like it although I'm not sure I'm huge on the audiobook format. But this is fun, the voices are excellent, and while I don't find Carl that interesting, Princess Donut absolutely is.

Already there's some inconsistencies which is irksome- one chapter she says she's never seen Crazy Earl, the next she says she has seen him once. However I am still enjoying it- I like the concept of a wildlife biologist obsessed with finding fairies. Callie is some flavor of neurodivergent too, which I relate too. Yeah hoping I can come out of my slump enough to read this.

Is it just me or in Reverse Harem's is the MC's name always or almost always Elise? I admittedly don't read this genre that often but it seems to be a trend.

Ok discount Twilight has gotten a little meta but honestly this isn’t nearly as cringe worthy as I had been told. I’m enjoying it so far!

This is alright but there is something to be said for subtelty and this does not have that. It feels like it's trying a little too hard to be whimsical and it is it's just a touch difficult to get through.

The section on the first SARS outbreak is really gripping.

It's good- second time around reading this and I am much more familiar with public health this go around and I still love this book. It's done really well.

Ok I like Taylor Adams I like the cat and mouse kind of thing she has going on in her books but Lena is coming off as an idiot and her twists are very similar throughout her novels.

Nobody told me there would be flying houses in this. I feel like I would've picked this up a lot sooner if I were aware that magic was involved.

I can tell already that this one isn't going to be as strong as her other two but hopefully it's still decent
