Beauty industry horror 4ever

Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet. We have caused a lot of damage to the Earth. Now it is time for us to take good care of her. We bring our peace and calm to the surface of the Earth and share the lesson of love. We walk in that spirit.

Peace is not external or to be sought after or attained. Living mindfully, slowing down and enjoying each step and each breath, is enough.

Peace is already present in each step, and if we walk in this way, a flower will bloom under our feet with every step.

Realizing there is less than 3 weeks of summer break left after having been in a deep reading rut. Time to gather all of the easy summer reads that have been sitting on my shelf and get going again!

Food can satisfy only one need — to nourish the body. You can’t expect to get from it what it can’t give you. You need to deal with your other needs and issues more appropriately. That is your deeper responsibility to yourself.

Absolutely delightful so far.

Taking this really slow but so so much accessible and useful information so far. Also appreciate how easy this book is to digest, it has intuitive breaks that make it easy to pick up and set down a lot which is often how most parents have to read!

Because I am a NERD I am reading this while I watch the show for the third time. I admit, I am a fraud, having never read the book despite it being in my possession for years, instead overindulging on the adaption, repeatedly.

A highlight of my month, as I feel an unrealistic amount of excitement and anticipation about this obvious and unoriginal idea to read a novel and watch the adaption simultaneously.

At times I think of human relationships as something soft like sand and water, and by pouring them into particular vessels we give them shape…. But what would it be like to form a relationship with no preordained shape of any kind? Just to pour the water out and let it fall. pg100

When I told Oli, my 10 year old, about the dragons with pearls he said to me, “dragon pearls are only carried by the wisest dragons, they have fragments of the sun, moon, and stars.” 🥹✨
