Has read the Wikipedia for Thomas Cromwell voice: I don’t think this is gonna turn out so well for ol’ Crumb!

“Are you happy with what it achieves for you?”

The book opens with a dramatis personae with this first section:

“The recently dead”

“Anne Boleyn, Queen of England”
“Her supposed lovers:”

We are so incredibly back

Didn’t realise Sir Patrick Stewart did the audiobook for this and when he started speaking it was like getting struck by lightning.

Jefferson Mays is such a wonderful narrator for this series. My comfort audiobook series ❤️

Not sure I can trust this Unreliable Narrator 🤔

I love when this book mentions these badass Vikings eating Skyr, like they’re on Weight-watchers.

I did not expect the titular Magician to be a noncey Uncle Andrew, and what a week to start reading about him!

These books are like a double-Isekai because a teenager from the 1940s is about as alien and unknowable to me as a talking mouse or a Minotaur.

What Frodo went through to get rid of the ring is what it feels like to fill up the car with IKEA cardboard boxes to take to the tip.

This is obvious but it really does rock when The King Returns in this book.
