Wanted to read this after watching A Small Light series. Glad I listened to it but books set in WW2 evoke a lot of mixed emotions so I don’t read them often. But, I think it’s important to read books like this so we remember.

Perfect beach read!

Listened to the three in this series while packing and cooking etc for vacation. Just a summer fluff read. It was ok. It passed the time.

I like memoirs and this was good. It passed the time and I learned about another culture.

I do not recommend this book. I read it because I heard so many bad things about it and I wanted to see for myself what I thought.
I recommend The Marriage You Want by Sheila and Keith Gregoire for a more balanced view and teamwork approach to marriage. L&R is a more hierarchical approach to marriage. Lots of one star reviews sum up well what I thought of this book.

Glad I read what I did but didn’t feel the need to finish it. Hard one to listen to because he references the charts in the book often.

But glad I listened to what I did. Got about halfway before it got automatically returned and I don’t feel the need to finish it. Got the gist.

Have to return to library. Didn’t finish but I would like to come back to it sometime. Wish I could find it on audio.

Interesting read about how the YWAM ministry started. My friend is a missionary with YWAM and she gave it to me to read.
I never knew much about the ministry so I’m glad I read it.

Really enjoying it so far.
