we are so back (to reading this) and I’m locked in this time

loving this, beautiful, might go back and reread some spots in the beginning already,,,,,,,

but damn and this is just my personal feelings but I do NOT need a novel to talk about COVID and it’s become a big ick of mine
I’m also struggling with how it is adding to this narrative at all. it’s mentioned so sparsely. I love novels with historical context but COVID ain’t history yet it’s too damn real no thanks

when I was younger I think Murakami’s pervertedness kinda thrilled me in a way where you feel like you’re witnessing something you’re not supposed to but now starting this I’m like, men need therapy
