This is a lot of fun so far. Not at all the typical alien abduction or shifter story. The MFC is a badass who doesn't need anyone to save her.

I am still enjoying this series, but there are few nitpicky content issues in this book that are bugging me. For example, it's set really far in the future (1000 years or more if I remember correctly) and yet the heroine described herself as being in a Bonnie and Clyde style romcom. It felt really out of place.

The names/titles are tripping me up a bit (although it could be the wine and late hour addling my brain) but this is really good so far.

These poor men are like abused puppies. I want to hug them all.

I love the characters. The MMC especially. So sweet.

My only complaint so far is the lack of world building. There is some of course, but it's not as detailed as her other fantasy series. Though I'm sure it's hard to do when the main characters are stuck in a dark tower.

I may not finish this. The plot seems like something I would love (a non-toxic relationship with mature adults? Sign me up!), but it's written in first person, present tense. It's just a personal preference but I can't stand reading books written this way. It's a long book, too, so trying to trudge through it seems like a lot of work when my TBR is so massive.
