Why am I doing this

My expectations are so high after reading The Starless Sea and I don't think Night Circus is quite as good as TSS, however.... I don't like how this books makes me feel feelings. Haven't shouted out loud about a character death in so long; I'm now officially scared of this book. I also love it so much.

This is just right up my alley. From the writing style to the world to the different povs to the moral dilemmas. So good <3

I. Love. It. It's like a poetry of the mundane while telling the most fascinating story. Simultaneously feeling so easy to read and so complex. It feels similar to "How to loose the Time War" just by intonation and abstract world building. It's great.

The main protagonists nickname is "Kel", the main protagonists nickname in The Way of Kings is "Kal" so my poor brain keeps getting confused.
I really like the book so far, it's not quite as immersive as The Way of Kings, but I appreciate the break from being emotionally whacked around. The magic system is unbelievably fascinating.

Hab ich extra Spoiler vermieden, weil der Schreibstil so gut ist? Ja. Bin ich extra beim Auto fahren auf einen Parkplatz um fieberhaft zu googeln ob mein Lieblingscharakter diese Situation überlebt weil ich die Spannung nicht ausgehalten hab? Ja.

I really liked the first third, absolutely adored the second third.. and am really really bored by the last third :'D it got so so good and now it's just.. ugh

It's really picking up steam, which I love. I am invested enough that I even ignored a spoiler so I'll be surprised... Can't remember last time I trusted an author enough to surprise me :'D

Oh boi did this pick up steam. The first third was a bit slow and boring, I disliked both main characters, everything was just so very soap opera. But after slogging through... Now that we reached the main love story, I'm so giddy. Sadly, the plot twist was spoiled to me, however.. it's done so well! The actual love story in between all the love stories is so lovely <3

After the disappointment that was the not-Dino-Omegaverse, why not start reading a romance between Mothman, the Jersey devil and a sea monster? No, I don't know what I'm doing either. It's pretty decent up to a point, but the last scene I read severely pissed me off. Don't know why one would build up three characters decently likeable and then completely reverse their personalities as soon as the smut starts.

How I adore her writing style *_*

Just realized it's the first book of three and while I'm annoyed that the third is not out yet I am giddily gleeful that the story won't end so soon. Really starting to like it.

I'm surprised by just how much I like it? The prologue was some damn good stuff. It's a tad brutal in some aspects, but damn I love me a powerful protagonist. Also the writing style is downright mesmerising. (Also I keep getting confused about who is who, but eh, I'll get there).

I had such high expectations for this book and it still meets them <3 I just love the protagonist, the story, the setting, the "enemies to fake dating to possibly enemies". Can't wait to continue.
