more of a fantasy element than i realized. maybe it says that in the summary but i didn’t read that so really went in blind.

but im enjoying it! an easy read, which i was expecting this to be more heady and artistic, like a maggie o’farrell book, but i’m not complaining about that. what i WILL complain about is everyone talks like they were born in 2001 (as in my age) instead of 886 AD

i know this looks like a crappy smutty romantasy book but it’s not… at least not yet and i’m in the second book

finished the section of play and so far this is just telling me what i’ve already thought about children so that’s cool

i went to mark this as currently reading but good reads says i’ve read it before…. i, however, have no memory of such a thing

it’s kind of difficult to read… idk the voice that the author chose is a lot of fun but also i often have to re read the same section a couple times to understand it lol

if i had realized this series was so long, i wouldn’t have started it

so far so good. poetic writing, which i am always a fan of

i like it more but i don’t foresee it becoming a favorite. very little dialogue, and you can tell the author is trying to be dramatic and almost have a
shock factor but i’m not sure it’s working in the way they want it to. anyways, toodles ttyl
