The Missing American is set in Ghana and filled with interesting cultural and linguistic insights as well as intriguing geographical settings. These were my favourite parts of this book.
The mysterious disappearance of a senior American man connected to a romance scam leads young private investigator Emma on a hunt. As a woman it’s hard to read the misogyny she faces.
The writing is pedantic and disappointing.
