the way theyre flirting in this book can either be classified as lawyer-like or child-like. and its pissing me off and boring me at the same time. who the hell is finding this sexy

these characters are all so annoyingly horny that it is detrimental to everything else about the book. this isnt a horror novel this is an episode of too hot to handle

i keep reading books marketed as gothic horrors and not getting gothic horror. this is folk horror. it doesnt count as gothic horror if the characters turn towards the camera and explain to the audience that they are doing consensual (bland) bdsm and they have an open relationship so its not cheating for him to kiss someone else
