This book brings me the same passion and joy and intrigue and excitement and sorrow that the fantasy books I read as a kid brought me. It may be time to reread every Tamora Pierce book ever for the 4th time.

God I love this book I haven’t been able to work or do anything aside from listen to this

I was in such a reading slump and there’s a few things about this book I find irritating but the other 95% is insane. It’s long but the story just doesn’t stop. It’s riveting, and also one of the most deranged and evil books I’ve ever read.

About 20% through I realised I had read this before and forgotten. Clearly, a memorable read.

it reads like a bad dissertation

its really good but im so fucking excited to be DONE

i feel bad for not liking it because like the message here is really good and i know there’s so many kids and adults who need to hear it but i simply cannot get past the writing style

i fucking hate this i feel like i’m being lectured

i prefer to not rate nonfiction books and books read for classes but imma give up that rule for this one because i’m genuinely enjoying it; it’s by far the best “classic” i’ve read
