Does it make more sense to read the hobbit first or not at all? HELP

The funny/quirky banter is reminding me a lot of Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer, which I actually like

So sad that Ian blames himself for them losing the baby, thinking somethings wrong with him. But love how Claire finds a way to explain scientific facts to him about blood types and pregnancy, while thinking of Faith and how they lost her :(

It’s been a while since I’ve read a Diana Gabaldon’s book and I’d forgotten how descriptive it is, and such good writing

Story repeating itself, truly sad

This constant back and forth between different people's pov is a little too much for me. I feel like I'm starting to get sucked into the story, and bam, another pov comes over :(
